Atlanta Graves

Birmingham, Ruth. Atlanta Graves. New York: Berkeley Publishing Group, 1998.
ISBN: 0425162672.

Sunny Childs is a delightful character and this is a very interesting book with lots of twists. There is a considerable amount of strong language and graphic scenes. Sunny Childs is a fairly hard character.

The plot begins with Childs preparing to ransom a stolen painting. Murder follows, and for the rest of the story, we find her in pursuit of the painting, assorted thieves and murderers, and art forgers. Just to keep her busy, she is herself pursued by an Atlanta detective (or so). I admit that I was surprised by a twist at the ending.
