Elizabeth Peters writes some fine light reading (not to
belittle her books--I'm constantly looking for good, really
entertaining light reading), and this book is no exception. Susan
is good looking, intelligent, has some training in anthropology
and archeology and is about to get into trouble. Substitute a
couple of names and we have the start of a number of Elizabeth
Peters novels.
But in this case we are in Scotland, and we'll wend our way
through a good deal of history, politics, intrigue, good humor
and other forms of fun that make Elizabeth Peters' novels worth
reading.
