The Cat Who Saw Red
Braun, Lillian Jackson. The Cat
Who Saw Red. New York: Jove Books, 1986.
ISBN: 0515090166.
I gotta warn y'all that I am absolutely in love with this whole series. It
will only be a matter of a bit of time before I manage to get them all reviewed
here. (Yeah, I know, this isn't proper intellectual fair, but I love it!) Let
me add to my normal set of suggestions that you take the ISBN above to your
local public library (and support them!) or the link on the title will take
your order to Amazon.com.
In The Cat Who Saw Red we find Qwilleran, Koko and Yum Yum trying to
solve an old suicide which has plenty of implications for the present. In his
ordinary, inimitable style, Koko leads Qwilleran through a number of leads that
allow him not only to learn about the older case, but to find a very current
killer.
Gourmet cooking, pottery, the arts, Siamese, journalism and general
inquisitiveness combine to create a fine tale.
Yeah, you're right . . . I don't like giving away very much of the plot!
Some other books in the “Cat Who” series.
