Bureaucracy
As in economics, my lead pick for politics is Bureaucracy by Ludwig von Mises. Those who may have tried some of Human Action and found it too tough going will find this much easier to read. Mises explains why bureaucracy, in many cases, simply cannot work.
Political Religion: A Liberal Answers the Question, "Should Politics and Religion Mix?"
Stith answers this question in the affirmative. I believe this will be an interesting and challenging read for liberals and conservatives who are interested in the relationship between politics and religion. Just what role can religion play in our nation's political life.
