Note: This is a book I wrote.
I wrote this book primarily to help people study Revelation for themselves, but it also has the goal of getting people to shake off some common attitudes about Revelation and dig deeper for personal, relevant, immediately applicable meaning. I make a number of suggestions that may lead to a much different than average understanding of the book.
This book is designed for group or serious individual study. It gives three plans--a three week, eight week, and 13 week study. The exercises also provide many options for how deeply you may want to study into each lesson. Energion.com Review
TerminologyApocalypticA category of literature that is normally presented in vision form with an angel guide or guides presenting material that is symbolic in nature, and sometimes appears strange to us. PreteristIn relation to apocalyptic, the school of interpretation that holds that most or all of the prophecies of the end times were fulfilled in the same era as they were written. FuturistIn relation to apocalyptic literature, the position that most symbols of the prophetic visions refer to events that are still future, and were in the far future when the author first wrote about them. HistoricistIn relation to apocalyptic literature, the view that the symbols of Revelation were intended to symbolize long periods of history, with only the final elements referring to future events.
